# West Ham linked with a move to land Leicester’s head of recruitment

West Ham have been linked with a move to land Leicester City’s head of senior player recruitment Eduardo Macia.

According to claims from [ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/3597788/ac-milan-west-ham-want-leicester-recruitment-head-eduardo-macia-sources), the Foxes’ key recruitment figurehead has been courted by a number of clubs from across Europe, with West Ham and Serie A giants AC Milan notably keen to secure his services.

It’s believed that Macia had been identified as a potential option for West Ham this summer as they underwent a change in infrastructure, with a director of football having been integrated.

West Ham ended up plumping for Mario Husillos for the role, partially due to his historically positive working relationship with the Hammers’ new boss Manuel Pellegrini.

Nevertheless, it is claimed by ESPN that despite the appointment of Husillos, Leicester chief Macia remains a target, with West Ham keen to implement a system in which both individuals can work within.

Macia is a figurehead who is held in high regard at the King Power Stadium, but it’s believed that more financially lucrative packages have been offered by clubs elsewhere.
