# West Ham closing in on Perez deal

West Ham are closing in on a deal to sign Arsenal striker Lucas Perez before Thursday’s deadline.

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the two clubs will meet on Monday to finalise the move.

West Ham have been looking for a new striker to bolster their attacking options and now look set to land Perez on a permanent deal.

Sporting Lisbon had an offer of £4.5m accepted for the striker, although talks are thought to have broken down.

This means that West Ham are likely to be paying a fee in that region for Perez.

Perez scored eight goals for Deportivo on loan last season, having scored seven goals in his first season for Arsenal.

The forward now looks set to complete a move to West Ham in the coming days.
