# West Ham make club-record Anderson bid

West Ham are hoping to secure a deal to sign Felipe Anderson after tabling a club-record bid to sign the Brazilain.

According to [Goal, as cited on Calcio Mercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/west-ham-table-club-record-bid-for-chelsea-and-monaco-target-79322), the Hammers have lodged a €45 million bid to finally bring the player to the London Stadium.

Anderson has been heavily linked with West Ham since the end of the season, with a deal now appearing to be in sight.

The Brazilian was bracing himself for late [interest](https://readwestham.com/2018/07/06/chelsea-ready-to-enter-the-race-to-sign-anderson/) from Chelsea, who had kept tabs on the player as a transfer target for Maurizio Sarri.

There were also some suggestions that Lazio could convince him to stay at the club with a bumper new contract offer.

The Hammers now appear to be closing in on a double deal for Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko, who is set to join from Borussia Dortmund.

Both Anderson and Yarmolenko will help form a new-look West Ham squad under Manuel Pellegrini.
