# Wolves not interested in West Ham target Mawson

West Ham have been given a boost in their hopes of landing Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson, with the news that Wolves are not interested in the player.

Local Wolves paper [Express and Star](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/2018/06/29/wolves-not-interested-in-linked-trio/) have reported that Wolves are not in the running to sign the Swansea City star this summer.

Previous [reports](https://readwestham.com/2018/06/29/wolves-ready-to-rival-west-ham-for-alfie-mawson/) that emerged yesterday claimed that the player was a target for the newly-promoted Premier League side.

Wolves are set for a busy summer as they prepare for Premier League football at Molineux.

Due to their links with super agent Jorge Mendes, a host of players have seen themselves linked with a move to the club.

West Ham had been linked with a double move for both Mawson and Lukasz Fabianski, who joined the club earlier this month.

Mawson has attracted a number of clubs after an impressive campaign for Swansea, despite their relegation down to the Championship.
