# Hernandez hints at potential summer exit

Javier Hernandez is clearly not enjoying his time with West Ham at the moment.

The experienced striker has not had the desired effect on proceedings since his £16 million move from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen back in the summer transfer window.

After a bright start to the season under Slaven Bilic, Hernandez has found game time hard to come by with David Moyes at the helm, which led him to seek a move away from the London Stadium in the January transfer window.

West Ham blocked Hernandez’s wishes to depart only months after signing for the Hammers, but it seems the Mexico international is considering pushing for an exit again this summer.

As quoted by the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/west-hams-javier-hernandez-ready-12305450), Hernandez discussed his plans for the future:

> You never know, because in the winter period I wanted to find my way out to have more minutes and could not.

> There has always been speculation as to whether I will stay or leave and I cannot guarantee anything. I have two more years of contract with West Ham, and everything will come up.

Moyes’ side have been hugely inconsistent in front of goal but recently defeated Southampton 3-0 in what was a must-win encounter for West Ham.

Hernandez’s arrival at the London Stadium was eagerly anticipated by those associated with the club, however, it simply hasn’t worked out for the former Manchester United star so far.
