Manuel Lanzini has revealed that he is very close to returning from injury, following a month long lay-off.
The Argentine West Ham midfielder has been missing for the Hammers since suffering a knock against Bournemouth on January 20th, being unavailable for the last four matches. However, having stepped it up in training, Lanzini is almost ready to return to first-team action.
Talking to the official West Ham website, Lanzini said;
I’m feeling good. My injury is getting better every day and I’m expect to be back very soon. I’m training hard and I expect to go back with the team next week.
It’s great that Marko [Arnautovic] is back now. He is a very good player and we need him. I’m also looking forward to playing with Joao Mario. He is an important player and together we have good qualities.
The 25-year old has been influential for the Hamemrs this season, having a hand in 11 goals during his 20 league and cup appearances for the East London outfit.
