It’s safe to say that Jordan Hugill’s deadline day move to West Ham wasn’t the most pleasing of transfers for Hammers fans.
In fact, the move seemed to add fuel to the fire of fans hatred towards the board. Given that they sold goal-scorers Diafra Sakho and Andre Ayew to Rennes and Swansea respectively, the powers that be decided that Hugill was an adequate replacement.
Hugill, who has scored 30 goals in 114 appearances for Preston, became David Moyes’ second signing while in charge of West Ham.
Hugill isn’t near the calibre of players West Ham have been interested in prior but, nevertheless, he has some good attributes that could allow him to adapt well at West Ham.
