# Moyes not convinced by Dendoncker

West Ham manager David Moyes is said to be unconvinced about the idea of signing Leander Dendoncker, with Stoke and Watford watching developments closely, according to Belgian paper [HLN](https://www.hln.be/sport/voetbal/transfertalk-club-haalt-kroatische-international-twee-engelse-clubs-pokeren-om-dendoncker-celtic-pusht-voor-musonda~a7b33e4e).

The player is said to be open to the idea of moving to London after the Hammers spent weeks scouting the player.

The club’s scouts and board are said to have given the green light for a deal set to cost somewhere in the region of £20 million, but Moyes is delaying the decision.

Dendoncker, who can play as a central defender or as a midfielder, has attracted interest from Manchester United in the past, while another one of Moyes’ former sides, Everton have also been credited with an interest this month.

Reports in Belgium have suggested that Anderlecht have been trying to wager a deal that could see Dendoncker return to the Pro League until the end of the season on loan.
