# West Ham in the race for Jack Harrison

Stoke City appear to be closing in on New York City FC winger Jack Harrison, but West Ham are claimed to be interested in the Englishman, too.

According to a report from the [Stoke Sentinel](https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-harrison-nyc-mls-1105491), the Potters have made a second bid for the promising wide man, who has been catching the eye out in America since his emergence.

Harrison has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs before and it seems Stoke are extremely keen to bring him back to his homeland.

However, they will not acquire the England Under-21 international without having to fend off competition, it seems. The report from the Stoke Sentinel claims that West Ham, along with Leicester City, are also in the race to sign Harrison.

Stoke made a bid worth £3.25 million for the player, but their attempts were rebuffed by the MLS outfit. They will hope that their second offer is enough to tempt New York City FC into selling, as West Ham monitor the situation.
