# Andre Ayew linked with Swansea return

According to [reports](https://twitter.com/FabioPendolino/status/953554375758069760), West Ham striker Andre Ayew is edging closer to a return move to Swansea City.

Ayew, 28, impressed during the 2015/16 season with the Welsh side after joining from Marseille, scoring 12 Premier League goals in 34 appearances, which earned him a move to the Hammers in the summer of 2016, in a deal worth £20.5 million.

However, Ayew has struggled during his time with West Ham, only managing to find the back of the net  nine times in 33 league appearances during his two years with the club.

[Gianluca Dimarzio](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/swansea-andre-ayews-return-is-getting-closer) now reports that Ayew will join up with brother Jordan at Swansea, with new manager Carlos Carvalhal showing a strong interest in the Ghanaian.

West Ham boss David Moyes has admitted how he doesn’t want to lose any players during the current window, however, with the manager wanting to bolster his squad, he may have to lose Ayew in order to bring in more revenue to spend on new players/
