West Ham to hold futher talks over Dendoncker
West Ham are to hold further talks as they pursue a potential deal for Anderlecht’s Leander Dendoncker, according to the Daily Mail.
The 22-year old Belgian is reportedly interested in teaming up with David Moyes at the London Stadium, and his agent has a good rapport with the West Ham boss.
Moyes is looking to strengthen his midfield this month and has been linked with a number of options. The club hope to complete Dendoncker as they need a holding midfielder, as well as hoping to complete a deal for Jonjo Shelvey from Swansea before the deadline.
Anderlecht are believed to be demanding a fee of around £27million for the Belgium international, which is due in part to the fact that Dendoncker has been filling in at centre-back in recent weeks, following an injury to Kara Mbodji.
Moyes is also reportedly interested in doing a deal for Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield. However, Burnley insist the 29-year old, who is out of contract in the summer, is not for sale this month. The Clarets have also offered him a new deal.
