After picking up four points from a possible six in the Premier League this week, West Ham complete their run of three games in six days when they travel to League One high-fliers Shrewsbury in the FA Cup third rounds tomorrow afternoon.
The majority of David Moyes’ available players featured in both the win against West Brom and the draw at Tottenham, meaning the likes of Andy Carroll, Manuel Lanzini, Pedro Obiang, Angelo Ogbonna, Adrian, Pablo Zabaleta and Marko Arnautovic could all be rested this weekend.
Moyes has hinted that he would field a heavily rotated squad, handing opportunities to young players to impress in the FA Cup meaning U23 stars such and Toni Martinez, Domingos Quina and Martin Samuelsen, all of whom featured on the bench at Wembley on Thursday, could feature from the start.
With that in mind, here is our predicted XI for tomorrow’s trip to Shrewsbury.
Joe Hart
Moyes has already confirmed that Hart will come back into the side.
Reece Burke
Recalled from his loan at Bolton, Burke is in the squad that traveled and should feature at right-back, affording Zabaleta a well-earned rest.
Declan Rice
After his man of the match display against Spurs, Rice is handed another start at the back.
James Collins
Collins returns to the side to offer that leadership and experience.
Arthur Masuaku
Masuaku starts his third game of the week with Cresswell set to be rested following a back complaint.
Mark Noble
Noble will anchor a midfield that’s set to feature a lot of young talent.
Josh Cullen
Cullen has also returned from Bolton and is in the squad.
Domingos Quina
Moyes has put his trust in Quina to be a part of matchday squads in recent weeks and the young midfielder is set to play tomorrow.
Sead Haksabanovic
Haksabanovic is afforded a rare start to impress.
Andre Ayew
Ayew will play in a two-man strike force but will drop into midfield.
Chicharito
Chicharito will make just his second start under Moyes as he stakes his claim for a regular role.
