# West Ham fans told to stop calling 999

A section of West Ham supporters are being urged not to call 999 after the club lost to Watford on Sunday night.

A tweet from the Essex Police Force Control Room confirmed that a group of fans had been ringing the emergency number to vent their frustration at the club, as reported by the [Independent](https://twitter.com/IndyFootball/status/932553935453376512).

Goals from Will Hughes and Richarlison either side of half-time secured all three points for Watford.

The Hornets made it a disappointing start to life at West Ham for David Moyes, who is now preparing for the visit of Leicester City on Friday night.

During the game the away supporters were heard venting their frustration towards the club’s board.

Football fans calling the emergency services after a defeat is something that many clubs have struggled with in the past.
