# West Ham linked with Jonathan Bamba

West Ham are reportedly keen to sign Saint-Etienne attacker Jonathan Bamba.

The France Under-21 international has been in good form recently, and has attracted the interest of several clubs across Europe.

Bamba’s deal at the Ligue 1 club expires in the upcoming summer, which will allow clubs to sign him on a free transfer. According to French news outlet [Foot Sur 7](https://www.foot-sur7.fr/375961-asse-mercato-inter-milan-offre-l-etude-pour-jonathan-bamba), West Ham are among those tracking his situation with close attention.

Talks have been held regarding a new deal for Bamba at Saint-Etienne, but no conclusion has been reached yet, and it’s not looking as though the youngster will remain at the club beyond his current contract.

A plethora of clubs are interested in signing Bamba, though, and West Ham will face some serious competition for his signature.

The likes of Inter Milan have been cited with interest in the 21-year-old, while West Ham’s fellow Premier League competitors Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United have been linked.
