# West Ham are reportedly reluctant to dismiss Bilic

West Ham are reportedly reluctant to relieve manager Slaven Bilic of his duties at the club.

It’s claimed by the [Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/10/23/west-ham-reluctant-sack-slaven-bilic-crystal-palace-match-will/) that the hierarchy at the London Stadium remain keen for Bilic to carry on as the Hammers’ boss, but understand that his position could soon become untenable if the upcoming results are not satisfactory.

West Ham face Tottenham Hotspur in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup, in a match which is sure to hold a lot of influence on Bilic’s future at the club.

They then face a testing game against rock-bottom Crystal Palace. It’s stated in the report that the importance of this fixture is increasing, as pressure mounts on Bilic.

West Ham are currently sat in 16th place following Friday night’s embarrassing home defeat against Brighton. A brace from Glenn Murray either side of a long-distance effort from Jose Izquierdo helped the visitors to a 3-0 win at the London Stadium.

Bilic’s side are only above the relegation zone on goal difference, and the Croatian will know that he absolutely has to make his mark in the next week.
