# West Ham team news: West Brom (A)

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has delivered an update on his squad’s condition ahead of their trip to West Brom.

The Hammers travel to the Hawthorns looking to secure only their second win of the season following an underwhelming start. They defeated Huddersfield comprehensively to get off the mark on Monday night, and will be looking to make it two wins on the bounce against Tony Pulis’ men.

Bilic, as quoted by the [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/west-ham-brom-bilic-arnautovic-13621549), had largely positive news to report on his squad’s well-being. However, the Irons do still have a few injury issues that are not yet fixed.

The Croatian confirmed that captain Mark Noble will not feature for the team on Saturday despite making progress with his recovery. The news was much the same for Edimilson Fernandes too.

> Mark got a knock on his knee, and it’s nothing serious but he obviously couldn’t play against Huddersfield. But he definitely won’t play this week – it would be difficult for West Brom.

> We have a few bruises and knocks because the game was on Monday and not Saturday or Sunday, but the squad should be fit apart from Noble and then Lanzini and Fernandes who also missed Huddersfield.

Manuel Lanzini, however, looks to be edging ever closer to a highly-anticipated return to the first-team.

> Fernandes will train in a couple of days but Lanzini hopefully will only be out for one or two more weeks. He is running and training with the ball – so far, so good.

Marko Arnautovic, too, will be available for selection after he served a three-game suspension.

> Marko is back. He will be in the squad for the game against West Brom.
