# Andre Gomes to Spurs ‘almost done’

Tottenham are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign West Ham target Andre Gomes on loan from Barcelona.

Dominic King of the Daily Mail reports that the player is closing in on a move to Wembley as Tottenham continue to strengthen during the final day of the window.

West Ham have been in the running for the midfielder’s signature with his future at the Nou Camp looking bleak.

While it is unclear about how serious their interest is, the player appears to be heading to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

King suggests that despite Jose Fonte playing a key role in luring his fellow Portuguese international to the London Stadium, it is Pochettino who has been the most decisive factor.

Reports had suggested that West Ham could target Arsenal’s forgotten man Jack Wilshere if they fail in their efforts to land Gomes.
