# Carvalho’s agent in London to finalise West Ham move

West Ham are still trying hard to get a deal for William Carvalho over the line despite Sporting continuing to increase their demands.

The Hammers are eager to make one big splash before the transfer window closes tomorrow and have had their eyes set on Carvalho for several weeks.

Carvalho is away with the Portugal national squad but is keen to make a move to the Premier League with West Ham and his agent has flown to London to hammer out the deal, claim [Correio de Manha](https://www.cmjornal.pt/desporto/futebol/detalhe/william-carvalho-com-cabeca-em-inglaterra).

Everything between the Hammers and Carvalho has now been agreed in regards to personal terms. A long-term contract worth around £35,000-a-week plus bonuses has been settled, but the issue of the fee is yet to be resolved.

The report claims that West Ham are ready to give into Sporting’s demands and meet their €38m + €5m in add ons asking price for Carvalho due to their poor league position making them desperate.

Reported interest from Monaco doesn’t carry much weight and is purely in the public domain to cause a sense of panic and encourage West Ham to meet Sporting’s demands having previously backed away from doing so.
