# West Ham complete club-record deal for Marko Arnautovic

The West Ham fans demanded a big splash in the transfer market this summer and the club have delivered.

Slaven Bilic and West Ham have broken their club record transfer with the acquisition of Marko Arnautovic from Stoke in a deal believed to be worth in the region of £24m.

That’s twice in two summers that the Hammers have broken their transfer record following the £20.5m signing of Andre Ayew from Swansea last August.

Arnautovic has spent the last four seasons in English football since turning down West Ham to join Stoke from Werder Bremen in a £2.4m deal back in 2013.

On his day, the Austrian can be one of the most destructive wingers in the league. Big, physical and has an eye for goal, Arnautovic has netted 26 goals and provided 32 assists in 145 games for Stoke in the last four seasons.

The 28-year-old can play across the forward line and projects to be an excellent and savvy signing by Bilic and the West Ham hierarchy.
