# Middlesbrough agree Randolph deal with West Ham

West Ham have reportedly agreed a deal with Middlesbrough over the transfer of goalkeeper Darren Randolph, according to Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones.

The Republic of Ireland international didn’t have the best of seasons last term as he battled Adrian for the number one spot under Slaven Bilic.

However, the season-long loan signing of England international Joe Hart from Manchester City appears to have spelled the end of his time at the London Stadium, with Boro ready to lure him away.

Hart is likely to be the first choice goalkeeper for Bilic next season, meaning that it was always likely that Adrian or Randolph would be set for a summer departure.

While Boro are well stocked in the goalkeeping department, Randolph is likely to be a favourable option for Garry Monk next season given his experience, despite a few mistakes last season.

With the World Cup following the 2017/18 campaign, Randolph will be keen to play as much as possible, and this seems unlikely if he stays at West Ham.
