# Jack Wilshere open to joining West Ham

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is open to accepting a move to West Ham if the two clubs involved can agree a fee, according to a report from David Woods of [The Star](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/631351/Arsenal-transfer-news-Jack-Wilshere-West-Ham-Arsene-Wenger).

The England international has apparently been told that his future lies away from the Emirates by manager Arsene Wenger and West Ham are reportedly one of the teams interested in signing him.

The obvious stumbling block in a deal is the fee with the Gunners wanting close to £20million for the midfielder but if the Hammers can negotiate a deal with Arsenal, Wilshere would apparently be willing to accept the move.

He grew up as a youngster supporting the Hammers and he’d be keen to stay in the London area too.

With just one year left on his current deal, it’s hard to see Arsenal refusing to sell him so there is a chance that they’d do a deal for less than their original £20million asking price.
