# Hernandez ‘agrees’ to join West Ham

West Ham look to be on the verge of completing a move for Javier Hernandez this summer, with the striker having reportedly agreed a switch to the London Stadium.

According to a report from [ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/3161370/javier-chicharito-hernandez-agrees-to-join-west-ham), the experienced forward has told their Mexican correspondent Javier Dipp that he will undergo a medical at the club on Monday ahead of a £13m move.

The Bayer Leverkusen striker’s release clause has been activated by the Hammers and they look to be increasingly close to securing a move for the clinical finisher.

The 29-year-old was entering the final year of his current deal with the Bundesliga outfit and is now seemingly excited by the prospect of returning to the Premier League.

Slaven Bilic has been on the lookout for a new starting striker for some time now, and it looks as though he has finally found his man in the form of ex-Manchester United striker Hernandez.

A move is looking likely to be confirmed next week.
