# West Ham expected to sign Hernandez in next few days

West Ham are on the road to completing a real flurry of transfer activity this week.

With Joe Hart already signed from Manchester City on a season-long loan and Marko Arnautovic expected to follow from Stoke in a club-record £24m deal, Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez is expected to follow, according to Sky Sports.

It’s understood that the Hammers are ready to activate Hernandez’s £13m release clause to bring him to the club.

The [London Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-confident-of-completing-javier-hernandez-transfer-a3591376.html) report that the former Manchester United striker is excited at the prospect of coming back to the Premier League with West Ham and that personal terms are not expected to be an issue.

Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho remain two big injury risks heading into the new season and bringing in another striker was key to the Hammers’ offseason plans and it appears as if they will do so.

Hernandez is expected to join West Ham in a matter of days according to Sky which will fuel the fans with a lot of optimism heading into the new campaign.
