# West Ham closing in on three new additions

West Ham’s much-maligned transfer policy is on the verge of bearing three very exciting fruits in the coming week or so.

With two-time Premier League winner Pablo Zabaleta already through the door from Manchester City, [West Ham](https://www.whufc.com/) have turned their attentions to sorting our their two biggest problems last season: scoring goals and stop letting them in.

The closest deal right now is the loan transfer of Joe Hart, also from Manchester City.

The England international has had his medical, which he passed, and is expected to be announced as a West Ham player in the very near future with the Hammers seemingly having agreed a deal with City regarding the player’s wages and a loan fee during talks that have taken place in the last few weeks.

Hart has been ousted by Pep Guardiola at the Etihad but the England number one is still performing at a high level and at 30, he has a lot to offer West Ham, who will have an option to make the loan move permanent.

Next on the hit list is Stoke winger Marko Arnautovic, who is reportedly set to complete a £23m move this week, making him the club’s record signing eclipsing the £20.5m benchmark set last summer when Andre Ayew joined from Swansea.

Odds have shortened to 1/20 with some bookmakers for Arnautovic to join West Ham this summer, and make sure you take advantage of [Bet365’s bonus offer](https://bonuscodebets.co.uk/bet365-bonus-code/) by signing up here.

Arnautovic has scored 26 goals and provided 32 assists for Stoke since making a £2.4m move to the Premier League from Werder Bremen in the summer of 2014 – a respectable return for a winger.

The 28-year-old is very physical and dominant in the air, while also possessing great quality with the ball at his feet and has the ability to create something out of nothing.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Javier Hernandez is a more adventurous target, but West Ham are ready to meet his £13m release clause.

Hernandez will likely become the club’s top earner if the deal goals through and with a goalscoring ratio of better than a goal every three games since moving to European football in 2010, he’s exactly the kind of proven goalscorer that the club wants and desperately needs.

If West Ham are able to bring in all three players than they may well have righted the wrongs of last summer and can once again move forward as a club.
