# West Ham once again linked with Vicente Iborra

Having allowed Havard Nordtveit to leave the club earlier this summer to return to the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, it could be argued that the Hammers are light in midfield.

According to Seville regional newspaper [Estadio Deportivo](https://www.estadiodeportivo.com/sevilla/2017/06/30/west-brom-west-ham-watford-quieren-llevarse-iborra/110460.html), West Ham are one of three Premier League clubs eager to sign Sevilla’s holding midfielder Vicente Iborra this summer.

Iborra had a terrific season for Sevilla this past season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 44 appearances across all competition and would be a quality addition to the squad.

The report also claims that both Watford and West Brom are interested in signing the 29-year-old, while [Marca](https://www.marca.com/futbol/sevilla/2017/06/30/59565e1fe2704e2b718b45a2.html) go one step further and claim an unnamed Premier League club have submitted a €12m+ offer for the midfielder.

West Ham have [been linked with Iborra](https://readwestham.com/2016/06/24/iborra-back-west-hams-radar/) in the past, and the report from Estadio Deportivo claim that interest from two of the three clubs has already been discarded as they are ‘not economically interesting’ interesting to the player.

Of the three clubs, the Hammers certainly carry the biggest financial weight which could make them the club still on the table for Iborra, but it’s not disclosed by any report just yet.
