# Hammers eye French forward Karamoh

After missing out on young Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru, who has signed for Everton, West Ham have swiftly identified a new target.

French news outlet *TF1,* as cited by [Sports Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/west-ham-keeping-eye-18-year-old-ligue-1-starlet-great-onyekuru-alternative/) claim that the Hammers are keen on adding 18-year-old Caen winger Yann Karamoh to their ranks.

Karamoh, who is capable both on the right flank and as a centre-forward, broke into the French side’s first-team last term and played an impressive 35 league games.

The Frenchman contributed to nine goals during the campaign, creating four for his team mates and bagging another five himself.

Karamoh is technically gifted with an eye for a cross and would provide intense competition for Hammers winger Michail Antonio.

As he enters the final year of his Caen contract, the youngster will surely have a tough decision to make, with the likes of European giants Arsenal and Inter Milan also reportedly interested in his services.
