# Lyon in advanced talks to sign West Ham target Traore

West Ham’s search for a new striker has taken them to Stamford Bridge where three of their forwards are believed to be on our radar.

While a loan move for Tammy Abraham remains unlikely, both Michy Batshuayi and Bertrand Traore are much more realistic targets of ours.

It was claimed recently that the [Hammers had lodged a bid](https://readwestham.com/2017/06/07/west-ham-make-firm-offer-chelseas-betrand-traore/) to sign Traore this summer off the back of an impressive loan spell at Ajax last season where he scored 13 goals in all competitions playing primarily from a wide forward position.

Everton, Lille, Borussia Monchengladbach and Schalke had all been linked with a move for the Burkina Faso international but L’Equipe (h/t [GFFN](https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2017/lyon-talks-for-bertrand-traore-advance/)) have claimed that Lyon are in advanced talks with Chelsea for his transfer.

The Ligue 1 side are confident that they will agree personal terms with the striker by the end of the week which will speed up the transfer.

Chelsea and Lyon are currently discussing the structure of the deal which is expected to be ironed out.

Traore is said to be available for £17.5m but a move to West Ham is looking increasingly unlikely.
