# West Ham and Marseille leading chase for wantaway striker

West Ham’s interest in Toulouse striker Martin Braithwaite has been well documented over the course of the last two seasons, and it looks as though they’re in pole position to land the wantaway forward.

According to a new report today from German news outlet [Sport BILD](https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/1-fc-koeln/braithwaite-schweigt-zu-koeln-geruechten-52088770.bild.html), FC Koln have taken an interest in signing the Danish international.

However, quite interestingly, the report states that West Ham have emerged as clear favourites to sign Braithwaite alongside Ligue 1 side Marseille.

Toulouse are resigned to losing the impressive striker this summer and the 25-year-old himself has insisted that he will look to leave the club this summer. This has prompted West Ham to reignite their interest and by the looks of it, they mean business.

It’s suggested that Braithwaite would be keen to test himself at a higher level of club in France, and would also relish the opportunity to give English football a go -signalling that West Ham have a big chance to land their man this summer.
