# Player Ratings: West Ham 1-0 Tottenham

What a time to pull off the greatest performance of the season!

Any game against Tottenham is always going to be tough, hard-fought and physical, but tonight, West Ham stepped it up a gear and were tenacious for the full 90 minutes.

Slaven Bilic’s side employed a high press that put Tottenham under duress, especially at the back, forcing them into mistakes.

The team showed incredible heart and character on the night and it was either going to take a piece of luck or skill to be the difference, and it was definitely the former.

A goalmouth scramble from a Cresswell cross saw the ball fall to an unmarked Lanzini three yards out and he lashed the ball home.

It was a backs to the wall effort for most of the second half but the team held on for the win, their fourth clean sheet in five games and tonight, Slaven Bilic got it spot on.
