# West Ham could sign Jonathan Cafu for just £10.2m

West Ham will be in the market for a winger in the summer and a player they’ve had eyes on for much of this campaign is Jonathan Cafu.

The Brazilian attacker has been scouted several times by the Hammers this season along with newly-promoted Championship side Brighton ahead of a summer move and he could be available on the cheap.

According to the [Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/799343/West-Ham-Exclusive-Slaven-Bilic-Jonathan-Cafu-Premier-League-Transfer-News-Gossip), the 25-year-old has a contractual release clause standing at £10.2m which is a fee West Ham will have no issues matching in full if they have their hearts set on bringing Cafu to the club.

Since arriving at Bulgarian side Ludogorets Razgrad, Cafu has been one of the lesser-known stars of European football, scoring 14 goals and tallying nine assists in 40 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

Under contract until the end of next season, Cafu’s time has come to secure a lucrative move to a top European league and the Hammers are seemingly well-placed to make their move.
