West Ham are pretty much safe now, so now time and effort can be put into laying the foundations for bringing in some summer recruits.
Over recent years, West Ham have had great success buying in the Championship.
Aaron Cresswell, a £3.5m arrival from Ipswich in 2015, has recently made his England debut and was named Hammer of the Year in his debut season. Michail Antonio is also on the fringes of the England squad and is the club’s top scorer this season less than two years on from his £7m transfer from Nottingham Forest while Darren Randolph, a free transfer signing from Birmingham, has definitely played his part over the last two years.
Should West Ham be looking again at England’s second tier to supplement their squad?
We’ve outlined 10 top players from the division below that West Ham should consider signing in the summer. With Newcastle and Brighton both having secured promotion, we’re omitting players from either of these teams.
