# Bilic has 100% support from West Ham board

Slaven Bilic has the full support of the West Ham board, according to a statement released on the [club’s official website](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2017/april/02-april/statement-west-ham-united-board).

The Croatian’s future has dominated reports this past week after David Sullivan criticised the team’s performances in recent weeks.

The statement read:

> To end speculation once and for all, the West Ham United Board feel it necessary to announce that we have 100 per cent faith in Slaven Bilic’s ability to lead West Ham United.

> Despite press speculation to the contrary, the manager’s position is not under threat. The Board know that Slaven and his coaching staff have the full backing of the playing squad and the overwhelming majority of supporters to lead West Ham United out of this difficult spell.

> The Board now urge all supporters to unite behind the manager, his staff and the squad as we go into some important games. We all have complete confidence in their ability to end a testing run of results and finish the season on a high.

The Hammers boss is currently second favourite to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job after a dip in form.

With just one win in their last seven, West Ham have dropped to within just six points of the relegation zone.

Whilst dropping into the bottom three is yet to be seen as a serious possibility, there have been reports to suggest that the boss will not be offered a new contract in the summer. The club’s former defender is out of contract at the end of next season.

Fixtures don’t get any easier for the Hammers with a trip to the Emirates Stadium next on the agenda for West Ham.
