# How West Ham could line-up next season

Last summer was a total botch job.

Following arguably our greatest top flight season for decades, West Ham entered the summer of 2016 with great promise that, with the right additions, they could compete once again at the right end of the table.

The unrelenting search for a proven quality goalscorer took the Hammers all over Europe before they ultimately settled on Simone Zaza who turned out to be nothing short of a failure – and that set the tone.

Many of the Hammers’ summer signings haven’t worked out thus far and in all likelihood, a few will be shipped off at the earliest convenience.

This summer, though, we hope West Ham and Slaven Bilic can make the right signings to help push the club back into that top six discussion like they were last season.

Here’s how West Ham could line-up next season if they sign their preferred targets and I think you’ll agree it’s a marked improvement on the current XI.
