# West Ham join race to sign Swiss international winger

West Ham are interested in signing Hoffenheim winger Steven Zuber, according to [reports](https://www.estadiodeportivo.com/futbol-internacional/2017/03/25/transformacion-zuber-llevarle-juventus/100762.html).

The 25-year-old only recently signed a contract extension with the German side but Juventus, Sevilla and the Hammers are said to be keen to buy him in the summer.

Having just earned his first international cap for Switzerland, Zuber’s profile has never been higher.

The winger, who has scored three goals and has two assists in 15 Bundesliga appearances, is a player who Hoffenheim are apparently keen to keep but it is reported that bids of around the £8.5million mark could be enough to secure a deal.

With Juventus and Sevilla seemingly interested, it might be tough for West Ham to get their man although he’d probably have the best chance of playing regularly if he moved to the Olympic Stadium.

The 25-year-old plays predominantly on the left for Hoffenheim but he is also comfortable playing from the right if needs be.
