It’s fair to say that West Ham’s last summer transfer window didn’t really go as planned.
The failure to land a big money striker to solve our woes at the position has cost the club dear this season.
However, the owners have given us their word (again) that they’ll do all they can to secure a quality centre-forward for the 2017/18 season.
With a large chunk of the transfer budget put aside for a striker, the Hammers may need to be a bit shrewder in the market with the rest of the summer funds, and a free transfer could go a long way to plugging a hole in the squad at a minimum spend.
That being said, hopefully they work out better than Havard Nordtveit, Alvaro Arbeloa and Sofiane Feghouli.
Here are a number of top quality footballers who will be out of contract in the summer that the Hammers should consider making a move for as Slaven Bilic looks to revamp his squad.
