# West Ham have scouts watch Jonathan Cafu

West Ham entered the season with an abundance of talent on the wings having spent big in fees and wages on the likes of Andre Ayew and Sofiane Feghouli.

However, the departure of Dimitri Payet during the January transfer window, albeit softened by the arrival of Robert Snodgrass from Hull, has left a sizeable hole in the West Ham squad that Slaven Bilic is eager to fill.

On the look-out for a tricky winger to sign in the summer, the Hammers had scouts present at another Ludogorets game this week as they watched Jonathan Cafu in action against Copenhagen in the Europa League.

Cafu joined the Bulgarian side from Sao Paulo in July 2015 for a reported £1.9m and has been impressive since arriving in European football, scoring 20 goals and tallying 10 assists in 55 appearances.

Contributing towards 19 goals so far this term (12 goals, seven assists), Cafu has certainly attracted the attention of many clubs including Everton, Leicester and Brighton.
