# Player Ratings: Manchester United 4-1 West Ham

Not a night for West Ham fans to remember at Old Trafford.

Inside two minutes, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was played through as Manchester United tear open the Hammers defence and he calmly dinked over Adrian to open the scoring.

West Ham snatched an equaliser when David De Gea spilt a Dimitri Payet shot and Ashley Fletcher prodded home for his first West Ham goal.

The second half, however, saw the hosts really step it up a gear or three. A double from Anthony Martial and a second goal for Ibrahimovic helped United ease to a 4-1 win and into the next round of the EFL Cup.

This was a real missed opportunity for the Hammers to progress and really challenge for their first silverware since 1980.

Slaven Bilic’s side were simply not up to the task and they need to regroup ahead of the visit of Arsenal on Saturday.

Here’re out player ratings from the game – we aren’t holding back on that shambles.
