# AC Milan, Liverpool and West Ham to battle to sign full-back

West Ham will battle AC Milan and Liverpool for the signing of FC Copenhagen full-back Ludwig Augustinsson, according to reports in Italy

[CalcioMercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/milan-a-sinistra-spunta-augustinsson-90367) believe that both Liverpool and the Hammers tried to sign the left-back in the summer but couldn’t get a deal over the line and now AC Milan are keen to beat them both in the race to sign him.

The 22-year-old Swedish international looks set to leave Copenhagen in January and West Ham are expected to go in for him.

The Hammers have had issues at full-back this season and Augustinsson could be the ideal candidate to resolve them.

Augustinsson can also play as a wing-back or as a midfielder, so he’d bring some versatility to the squad, something which is invaluable in modern football.

AC Milan look like the favourites to sign the defender, but West Ham will try to persuade him to move to London.
