# Andy Carroll held up at gun point during armed robbery

West Ham striker Andy Carroll has been held at gunpoint today in an attempted armed robbery in London, according to the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3899362/Andy-Carroll-threatened-gunpoint-shaken-stunned-West-Ham-striker-forced-flee-armed-bike-raiders-way-home-training.html).

The report says that Carroll was threatened at gun point, with the Police now investigating the situation before any legal proceedings.

Carroll was driving on the way home from training when he was stopped by two motorcyclists – one of whom was wielding a gun – at a junction.

The report goes on to say that Carroll sped off in his car, hitting several other vehicles, as he made his way back to West Ham security.

The West Ham forward is currently out injured and has played just one Premier League match this season.

Carroll played 32 games last season, however, and scored nine goals. This was his best season for matches played and goals scored so far during his West Ham career.

He’s scored 23 goals in 92 games since joining the club from Liverpool on an initial loan in 2012.
