# 2017 free agents West Ham should consider signing

One of Slaven Bilic’s go-to moves in the transfer market since taking over as West Ham manager is looking at players who he can get on free transfers.

We’ve seen the likes of Havard Nordtveit, Martin Samuelsen, Sofiane Feghouli and Ashley Fletcher all join the Hammers on free transfers under Slaven Bilic and he could opt to go down that route again.

When the January transfer window opens up, that signals the start of a six-month period where players whose contracts expire at the end of the season can negotiate terms with other clubs and agree upon a summer move.

While we hope West Ham will dig deep into their pockets, especially next summer, to strengthen the squad in key areas, you certainly can get a head start from January by acquiring some strong players on pre-contract agreements.

We’ve listed a number of players from around Europe who could be had on free transfers at the end of the season that West Ham should consider signing.
