West Ham 2-4 Watford : Five things we learned

I honestly didn’t think I’d be more disappointed than the Astra game the other week however I obviously forgot that it was West Ham that I support.

After a very dominant 30 mins with a two goals from Michail Antonio the game seemed all but over however the Hammers seemed to fall asleep and think themselves that the game was done. After some lacklustre defending and partially poor goalkeeping Watford pulled one back. The minutes after another.

The Watford fans were rocking!! They couldn’t believe their luck, two goals in seven minutes. After a poor ending to the first half from the Hammers you would expect a rejuvenated performance in the second half, however, we came out just as we had left it. Watford once again capitalised as Etienne Capoue converted from close range in the 53rd minute.

The Hammers still had some time to turn the game around however once again the players didn’t seem too bothered about the situation and after another poor 10 minutes Watford scored once again and that was game over.

West Ham now sit 17th in the league after four games. Not a great start. Here we look at five things we learnt.
