For a long time a move to Lazio was on the cards with [Valencia](https://readlaliga.com/) already agreeing to the move but West Ham struggled to agree a deal with the Serie A side, with Lazio favouring a loan deal and the Hammers eyeing a permanent sale. Valencia is likely to leave the club in order to help push through deals for other strikers.
