# West Ham target Tyrell Robinson on trial with West Brom

West Brom have taken young Arsenal winger Tyrell Robinson on trial this summer with a view to a permanent transfer.

The 18-year-old wide-man featured in a Premier League 2 fixture for the Baggies U23 side against Fulham U23s last night and scored in a 2-1 home win.

Robinson is capable of playing at left-back, but his preferred position is at left wing. In fact, Tyrell has become increasingly frustrated with [Arsenal](https://readarsenal.com/)’s academy coaching staff for constantly deploying him at left-back, as per [Arsenal Youth](https://arsenalyouth.wordpress.com/2016/06/28/exclusive-west-ham-set-to-sign-arsenal-youngster-tyrell-robinson-on-permanent-deal/).

He progressed through [Arsenal](https://readarsenal.com/)’s academy system and signed his first professional contract in January 2015. He is yet to make a first-team appearance, but he did feature prominently in the under-21 side – making 13 appearances in the U21 [Premier League](https://readpl.com/) and seven in the UEFA Youth League.

The [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-3664995/West-Ham-United-close-completing-deal-Arsenal-youth-starlet-Tyrell-Robinson.html) claimed earlier this summer that Robinson was to leave Arsenal to sign a two-year contract with West Ham, but the move never materialised and he is now looking to earn a contract at The Hawthorns and couldn’t have done much better last night.
