# West Ham join chase for Nottingham Forest star Oliver Burke

West Ham and Tottenham have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign highly-rated Nottingham Forest attacker Oliver Burke.

According to the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/sunderland-join-arsenal-liverpool-chase-8672478), the teenage sensation has lit up the Championship for Forest this season and has attracted interest from some of England’s biggest clubs.

The 19-year-old scored twice in a 4-3 home win for Forest yesterday over Wigan and has drawn comparisons to Gareth Bale with his marauding runs down the wing and natural finishing prowess.

A Scottish youth international, Burke has two years remaining on his current contract and Forest are looking for a fee in excess of £10m to sell their young star this summer.

The Hammers dealt with Forest to sign a winger last summer, completing the £7m signing of Michail Antonio on deadline day.

West Ham are in a bit of an injury crisis with Andy Carroll joining the likes of Andre Ayew, Manuel Lanzini and Sofiane Feghouli in the physio room.
