# West Ham target Augustinsson can leave Copenhagen next year

Danish outlet [Tipsbladet](https://www.tipsbladet.dk/nyhed/superliga/solbakken-ludwig-augustinsson-bliver-solgt-i-2017) has been told that FC Copenhagen are ready to sell 22-year-old Ludwig Augustinsson next summer.

The left-back has been linked with a move to Werder Bremen as well as Premier League side West Ham this summer, with the latter thought to have placed a [£5 million bid](https://readwestham.com/2016/07/31/west-ham-set-sign-ludwig-augustinsson/) in for the Swedish defender.

FC Copenhagen manager Stale Solbakken spoke to Tipsbladet about Augustinsson, saying there isn’t a chance he will leave Denmark this summer:

> Augustinsson is the player we have received the most inquiries about, including this transfer window. But I can say that there is a greater chance that I will play in midfield for Barcelona than him leaving this season.

He carries on to say that he expects the player to depart next summer with two years left on his contract, although the club and the 22-year-old will decide when the 2016/17 season has concluded.

The Swedish star signed for Copenhagen last summer from IFK Goteborg. In his first two seasons he made 46 league appearances, 31 of which came in Copenhagen’s league-winning 2015/16 season.
