# Everton launch fresh bid for West Ham target Rachid Ghezzal

Everton have launched a fresh £11.3m bid to sign West Ham target Rachid Ghezzal from Lyon this summer, according to French news outlet [Le 10 Sport](https://www.le10sport.com/football/mercato/exclu-mercato-ol-un-forcing-d-everton-a-13-m-pour-ghezzal-257120).

The Algerian is yet to sign a new contract with the Ligue 1 club and with his current deal expiring next summer he has been heavily linked with a move away from the club.

West Ham have made two bids worth £6.2m and £7m for Ghezzal this summer, both turned down with Lyon looking for nearer €15m (£13m) to part ways with the attacker this summer.

Lyon are hopeful that he will sign a contract extension with the club this summer but Ghezzal has so far rejected all offers from Lyon because they are not up to his demands.

Last year, Ghezzal played the most appearances he has in a single season for Lyon’s senior side, with 29. During that time he scored eight times from out wide, giving him a total of 61 Ligue 1 appearances. His exploits have also earned him call-ups to the senior Algeria national team, for whom he has earned three caps.
