# West Ham to make late Benteke swoop

According to [the Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3741563/Chelsea-weigh-Torino-defender-Nikola-Maksimovic-Antonio-Conte-grows-frustrated-Kalidou-Koulibaly-stalemate.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490), West Ham could be set to make a late swoop for Liverpool striker Christian Benteke.

The report says that Benteke is being courted by Crystal Palace, but West Ham could be about to move in and make a bid for the forward.

West Ham have been on the lookout for a new centre forward this summer and Benteke could finally be their man.

Liverpool are looking for around £32m for Benteke, which is likely to have priced other Premier League teams out of a move for the Belgian.

Benteke only joined Liverpool last year from Aston Villa, but failed to make much of an impact at Anfield last season and has fallen out of favour under Jurgen Klopp.

However, it appears as though West Ham could be the team to end his misery in Liverpool and bring him down to London and the Olympic Stadium.
