# West Brom battle West Ham for Borthwick-Jackson

West Brom are keen to sign [Manchester United](https://readmanutd.com/) defender and West Ham target Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on a season-long loan this summer, according to [TMW](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/europa/man-united-cameron-borthwick-jackson-nel-mirino-del-wba-865368).

Tony Pulis has been looking to sign another left-back in the transfer window due to the lack of options he has at the position.

Jonny Evans played there in their [Premier League](https://readpl.com/) opening day victory away at [Crystal Palace](https://readcrystalpalace.com/), but really a centre-back by trade, Pulis wants a proper fullback to play every week.

He doesn’t have faith in Sebastien Pocognoli and sold James Chester to [Aston Villa](https://readastonvilla.com/) earlier this week who also filled in at left-back leaving them with even fewer options.

[Schalke](https://readbundesliga.com/) rebuffed both West Ham & West Brom’s attempts to sign Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac while Leeds are proving hard to deal with over the signing of Charlie Taylor, causing Pulis to look elsewhere.

A player he is eager to sign is Cameron Borthwick-Jackson from [Manchester United](https://readmanutd.com/). The 19-year-old has been told he has no future at the club this season but ti still wanted for the long-term with a loan move eyed up for the 2016/17 season.

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/) have also been linked with a move for the left-back as cover for the injured Aaron Cresswell, but if the Baggies are ready to offer him a regular starting role that would give them a lot of leverage in any deal.
