The 24-year-old is capable of playing on either flank and has been impressing for Lyon in recent times.

Liverpool were [reported](https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/liverpool-transfer-news-reds-make-contact-lyon-about-winger-rachid-ghezzal-1567129) to have made contact with Lyon over a possible move for the Algerian wide man, but it looks as though nothing has, or will, come of their apparent interest in Ghezzal.

It’s not the first time that The Hammers have been linked with Ghezzal, however. It was [reported](https://readwestham.com/2016/06/13/west-ham-linked-move-ghezzal/) in June that Slaven Bilic was holding an interest in the versatile attacker, meaning that a move clearly looks to be under serious consideration from West Ham.

Alongside this, Ghezzal was also [reported](https://readwestham.com/2016/06/23/west-ham-target-ghezzal-set-lyon-exit/) to have been keen on an exit from Lyon this summer. This came about as the French club decided that if Ghezzal did not sign a new deal at the club, he would be placed on the transfer list.

The bid from West Ham is certainly speculative but, if a move does go through, it will be another good attacking option for Bilic to choose from this season.
