Player Ratings: West Ham 2-3 Juventus

So West Ham’s stadium is finally “officially” open after the 3-2 defat to Juventus, however Hammers fans shouldn’t be too down. We almost beat the Italian Champions a team that only two years ago was in the Champions League Final.

Some players had a point to prove today to try and nail their place down in the starting team before the game away to Chelsea next Monday night. For me some players stood out more than others and could potentially be fighting first teasers for a spot.

The big name absence of Cheikhou Kouyaté is understandable after his impressive display on Thursday against NK Domžale. With Diafra Sakho still not getting anywhere near the first team due to his behaviour it meant that we only had Andy Carroll to start. Gökhan Töre was still out due to a knock he picked up in training before the game against NK Domžale.

This was my personal rating for each Starting XI player for West Ham.
